The VR/AR Association (VRARA) will meet again to explore a huge trove of virtual, augmented, and mixed reality (VR/ AR/ MR) use cases for the educational technology (EdTech) sector.
The VRARA Education Summit 2024’s Best in EdTech, XR, AI event will unite over 30 speakers and sessions on the organisation’s LinkedIn channel, showcasing the synergies across academia, enterprises, and individuals and their efforts to advance extended reality (XR) use cases.
Speakers from globally recognised institutions — Full Sail University, Arizona State University, Yorkville University, University of Iowa, Ohio State University, and more — will offer their empirical knowledge of how XR has reshaped the classroom and their curricula.
Rob Pereira, General Manager, Pico will also speak about his company’s goals for VR-empowered immersive learning. His speech comes days after the ByteDance-owned firm debuted the Pico 4 Ultra, leading to a new era of enterprise-grade XR hardware for clients and end users.
Subjects from other speakers include empirical examples of student-developed solutions across artificial intelligence (AI), VR simulations, 360-degree immersive videos, and upskilling successes for skilled workers.
Lifecache will also share its next-generational immersive learning platform with integrated no-code and device-agnostic content creation tools.
Partnerships between Lucid Reality and the American Red Cross will reveal stellar XR applications used to train over 300,000 lifeguards, leading to at-scale training programmes with successful results.
For those interested in attending, kindly register and join the LinkedIn broadcast at 16:00 BST (08:00 PST/ 11:00 EST) on 19 September.
The announcement comes after the VRARA hosted its Enterprise Summit 2024 in late July. The online instalment united dozens of speakers across the XR community to speak about the real-world benefits, innovations, and returns on investment (ROI) from using immersive solutions.
