A new organisation dedicated to best practices and human-centred emerging technologies has launched this week.
Christopher Lafayette, Founder, Gatherverse announced the opening of Hyper Policy on Tuesday, which aims to develop “responsible innovation” across the tech sector.
He will serve as the Founder of the new organisation.

Due to the rise in urgency for fair tech applications across emerging technologies like artificial intelligence (AI), the Metaverse, and big data, Hyper Policy will help to build ethical frameworks for such developments.
It will also focus on standards, policy development, and “actionable” frameworks to apply to the public and private sectors. This will involve working with AI models, chain-of-thought reasoning platforms, spatial intelligence, and other emerging technologies, Lafayette added.
Hyper Policy also plans to inaugurate a Lab for evaluating “ethical superintelligence and the AI-powered metaverse,” he explained
According to its website, it will focus on:
- Shortening the digital divide between technologies, policies, and legislation by aligning policymakers with technologists.
- Producing agile frameworks to back the long-term growth of emerging technologies.
- Creating policies to secure privacy, health and wellness, and ethics based on “collaborative decision-making and emotional and social learning.”
Lafayette said in a statement,
“We see firsthand how outdated methods fail to protect our future,
and we cannot afford to fall behind in understanding and guiding the technologies that influence our lives. In this era of hyperscaling AI and emerging technologies, our frameworks, laws, and ethical guidelines must evolve in tandem.”
The announcement follows his work from the GatherVerse, a community of technologists, analysts, executives, and academics dedicated to building ethical, responsible technologies.
