The Royal Society for Arts, Manufactures, and Commerce (RSA) will host an insightful conversation with a leading visionary of the real and virtual worlds in late October.

Samantha Tauber, Founder, Futurist, and Multidisciplinary Artist, VNCCII, will join the RSA to host an event about her creative journey and the inspiration behind her fictional alter-ego.

Tauber’s brainchild remains a medium for exploring the depths of mankind’s limitless potential by intersecting emerging technologies, culture, and theory into her vision of the future.

At the event, she will also share methods for nurturing artistic talents through film, music, on-stage and immersive shows, as well as the raison d’être behind her works.

A key theme to Tauber’s artistic concept is how artificial intelligence (AI), the Metaverse, and other emerging technologies are reshaping her creative outlets and humanity’s shared experience.

She will also offer her futurist expertise on how best to interweave AI into creative tools such as Unreal Engine and Ableton, among others, as well as how it could potentially transform human creativity over time.

Tauber will then open a live Q&A with the audience to examine synergies between artists, their creative muses, and emerging technologies.

The RSA event, Designing our transformative collective future: inside the creative process of VNCCII, will take place on 24 October 2024 from 13:00 to 14:00 BST at The Steps, RSA House and online via Zoom.

Fellows of the RSA, along with artists, futurists, AI and generative AI enthusiasts, and science fiction fans can attend the event.

The announcement comes after Tauber’s work on virtual and real-world AI-based superheroine VNCCII have earned her several prestigious awards, including a Music Metaverse Award, G100 UK County Chair for Humanity, Technology, and Innovation, and ranking among the Top 100 Women of the Future.

She is also an RSA Fellow and a regular attendee of the World Metaverse Entertainment Summit and the World Economic Forum, among others.

The artist is set to publish her magnum opus, “Galacta.i.ssance and the VNCCII Awakening,” in due course.

In an unprecedented move, NASA will send a copy of the book in NanoFiche format to the moon during its Astrobotics Griffin Lander mission next year.
